I'm 47 yrs old . I've been teaching for 23 yrs in elementary ,preschool and infant classes.. For the last 5 years I was working full time to part time working in school and taking care of my 89 yr old aunt.I went part time when my aunt had a stroke 3 yrs ago .I fully take care of her now in the Bay Area on weekends Leave Friday nights and I'm there till Wednesday afternoon.Im looking for some part time work to supplement some income and still take care of my aunt .Teaching is not optional now.I provide meals on a daily bases for my aunt ,bathing,doctor appt.,recreational time which includes walking etc.shopping and many more .

worked in snf,acute hospital ,private duty, assisted living,memory unit, enjoy working with people of varies age group especially the elderly group.We ran a group home for dd adults for 3 years. I have 10+years working in this feild.

I am a college student majoring in psychology, I absolutely love psychology! Psychology is my passion. I believe I have a caring heart for the elderly, since I have worked with senior citizens for a few years now and I really enjoy making their lives better and through my experience in the seniors field I have learned a lot about seniors. I know that seniors need to feel appreciated and respected, with understanding. Seniors go through various stages while they age, and it is important to be sensitive to their changes.

Hello!! My name is Janice Nelson, I'm 28 years old and I started out my working career in a Nursing and Rehab for the elderly when I was just 18. This got me interested in gerontology and helping take care of the generations before me. I have a very kind and caring heart, and really only seek to help people and make personal connections. I currently work for an assisted living facility; and while I do enjoy the work, my hours are constantly changing and this is hard for me, given that I'm a single parent. I work very hard for the residents and I'm the lead care giver 3-4 days out of the week. I am strong and can assist lifting people as much as 250lbs. I enjoy working with people, and have a special place in my heart for the elderly and disabled. I take pride in being professional at any given time. I am quick to respond to emergencies, and able to stay calm in hectic situations. My favorite past time is talking to others, learning about their life experience and leaving hopeful that we learned something from one another. I like to take care of sick people as I was nurse in my country, and my experience there is 15 years. I am proud of that i could do part time job, and the same time I was full time student. Nevertheless, I had 3.7 GPA, and I got my GED certificate, and ESL Advanced Proficiency Certificate.

After being a recipient of outstanding caregiving services for a terminally ill relative, I, myself developed a an interest in providing home healthcare services as a career. As a result, I became Certified as a Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide in 1996. Over the years, I have met many wonderful clients and developed an extensive skill-set providing all levels of care, bathing, dressing, meals, medication reminders/monitoring, shopping and transportation. I am also skilled in acute bedside care, including palliative / hospice care. I have gained additional training working in several hospitals in the Austin area, but ultimately returned to my passion, which is providing outstanding care in the a person's own home, thereby relieving the stress families feel when looking for competent care of their loved ones. I truly believe that care provided in the home can note only promote a much better quality of but can actually extend their life, compared to care provided in an institutionalized setting. I remain strongly committed to that mission, and believe I can be a great asset to your family.

I have been a caregiver for over fifteen years. I have been trained and certified. I have been finger printed and passed an extensive background check completed by the Department of Justice. In doing this I am registered with the California Home Care Service Bureau. Many seniors learn they no longer can provide their own care. They feel like they have lost their independence. When they meet me they quickly learn they have gained a new friend. They did not loose their independence they have a new normal. Each day filled with activities and companionship.
