I am patient, compassionate, and a good listener. I'm also highly organized and able to quickly adapt to different needs, which helps me provide quality, consistent care. I've always had a strong desire to help others and make a difference in people's daily lives. Becoming a caregiver felt like a natural way to turn that passion into a meaningful career.

I became a caregiver in 2003, I love to help people, I'm a people person. My job, I enjoy it and I'm pursuing a higher education in the nursing field. I'm a recent graduate of Miller Motte Technical College with my Associates' degree in Medical Assistant. Being able to move back to the city and finish my goals that I've started since a few years ago. I'm a passionate person who cares about her work, and I'm willing to learn new things that will advance me in the field of healthcare.

I became a care giver because as a child my aunt always accepted in her home individuals whose parents abandoned them due to them not being able to care for them. We were responsible for their daily living which included bathing, dressing, feeding and all Activities of Daily Living. I am proud of my input in their lives to make their days more cheerful. My 25 years of working within this community of caring and sharing I have been able to make achievements which elevated me into the higher level of Day Program Director increasing the number of individuals from 10 to 100 and continuing to elevate in both care and community involvement for each individual served.

I became a caregiver because of a personal experience I had taking care of my dad, who eventually died a few years back. My experience with him made me more cautious in taking care of others and attendin to their needs with a passion. I love music and I am very patient.

My consumers make me. They help me to improve upon myself by teaching something new everyday. I became a care provider to pay it forward. I figured if I helped those in need while I'm able to, when I get older God will bless me with someone as kind and nurturing as I am. My biggest personal achievement was, is being a mother and a grandmother, and I look wonderful doing it.

I have worked as a caregiver for 4 years. I have always wanted to be a caregiver since I was young. I enjoy it because I am able to help those in need and build relationships that can last a lifetime. I am a very caring person and I think that is what makes me a good caregiver. I care about peoples health and well-being sometimes more than my own. Currently one of the achievements I am proud of is the guy I work with. He is a stroke patient and wasn't able to walk or feed himself but I have been able to get him to walk some. He now feeds himself and try's to help with most things.

I have a strong background in the healthcare field from working as a companion to working at the hospital to nursing homes. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me great joy to help others. You never know when you might need someone so it's best to always treat others with kindness and compassion. I became a caregiver about 8 years ago when my uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I enjoyed assisting him with daily tasks, and just knowing that before he passed away he thanked me for just being there for him, gives me great joy and the motivation to continue helping others. That alone was the greatest achievement throughout my care giving career. I hope that I can touch all of the lives that I come in contact with.
