I have a natural and gifted talent taking care of the elderly. I have excellent recommendations and my clients always requested for me to return to care for them. I started by taking care of my maternal grandmother at the age of 20, that was my calling. I have a gift to serve so I join the United States Army. I have CPR, CLS, and training in vital signs, like BP, pulse, temperature and BS readings. I co-owned a live-in Homecare and single handed was responsible for the care of my clients from feeding to housekeeping.

My personality is really loving, I enjoy being the strength for people who need me. Being a mother I have learned many lesson on how to cater to many different needs of others. What attracts me to become a caregiver is it being similar to caring for my own family. I do that very well, and know that I have more to offer. My biggest achievement that is very personal to me is me finishing college and walking across the stage and receiving my degree: I made a huge sacrifice and it was well worth it even when at times I felt it was impossible.

I am such a caring and helpful person. I enjoy helping others because i know how it feels to need help and not be able to get it. The attraction to helping someone who cant help themselves is such a blessing to me. The best part to being a caregiver is being there for the elderly. What makes me a good caregiver? My positive attitude and vibe and my kind heart. What made me become a caregiver? I love babies and elderly people. I love to help out older people and help them as much as I can. It's a passion for me!!! It's just some I always like doing it.. My auntie is a elderly lady and I do it all for her bathed her and change her diaper and all. So I know how to get them good and right.

I am a great listener and very compassionate towards people, especially seniors, who are in need. I believe that seniors should be treated with the dignity, respect and honor they deserve. Since a very early age I've always been passionate about serving people. I'm a veteran and have worked for the public sector over 20 years serving our nation. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandmother who inspired me to be the best that I could be. I loved listening to her stories, keeping her company, and helping her out around the house. I especially loved playing checkers and helping her put jigsaw puzzles together. The joy my grandmother brought out of me; I would love to share with others whom I care for. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is bringing a smile to the face of someone who otherwise would not smile; causing them to feel better than they did. Being there when someone needs someone to talk to, listen to, or to engage in a favorite activity with is priceless. I am proud to have served our country for 20 years, inspiring and encouraging all whom I have worked with and encountered along the way.

I am a happy and outgoing 20 year old with quite a little bit of experience. I love being a caregiver because I love helping people to be the best person they can be physically, mentally and if there interested spiritually. I first became a caregiver when I was 17 years old for a little boy with developmental disabilities, I still provide care for him now part time. I believe that my most useful qualities in this role is patience and kindness . In my Role as a care giver in home with patients with dementia I was the only one working on my floor . I had one patient who would always ring his bell for me to come help him . But because he lost his memory and have dementia when I came to his room he he'd forgot that he even ring the bell . I always showed him kindness and patience.

I have been a Certified Nurses Assistant in the memory care unit for several years prior to doing home health. I have great observation and compassion for others. Every individual deserves the best quality of care as some do not have the resources or ability to be 100% independent. I empathize these feelings, and would take pleasure in assisting as well as accommodate to one's health safety and independency.
