I have a strong background in the healthcare field from working as a companion to working at the hospital to nursing homes. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me great joy to help others. You never know when you might need someone so it's best to always treat others with kindness and compassion. I became a caregiver about 8 years ago when my uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I enjoyed assisting him with daily tasks, and just knowing that before he passed away he thanked me for just being there for him, gives me great joy and the motivation to continue helping others. That alone was the greatest achievement throughout my care giving career. I hope that I can touch all of the lives that I come in contact with.
