I became a caregiver because of the innate motherly instinct that gives me such gratification just knowing that I have helped someone that is not able to help themselves. I have cared for children as well as adults and I learned that I prefer adult care. They are just a wealth of knowledge and in most cases they do appreciate someone taking care of them and spending time with them. I met a gentlemen one day and at the time he was wearing a diaper. After working with him for about three months we started going to bathroom and taking walks in the wheelchair. I felt a great sense of gratitude for seeing such improvement. His family eventually sent him to a nursing home where he did not last long. I am a very compassionate person and believe that everyone should be treated with respect. I am also a student attempting to achieve my bachelors degree in Business Administration with a minor in health service management.

I enjoy helping people it makes me feel like I have some purpose on this earth, It is wonderful to meet people and get to know them. It is a rewarding profession to me! Smiles are wonderful and necessary in this arena.

I became a caregiver because I am a people persons and I love helping people and being a good companion making the residents feel good and happy plus getting good care at the same time. What I Like about being a Caregiver is that I making someone else feel good and happy.

Well, I became a caregiver after I was diagnosed with canicer. After my hospital stay and recovery, I thought about the care I receI've and offer to do the same for those who could not afford to do it for themselves. I even started taking college courses just to become a nurse. What I like about being a caregiver is that I realized that I always bring hope into somebody's life , as well as put a smile on their face. I am a cancer survival, and I am married with two children. I love what I do, and love to make another person day better.

I am a great care giver because I am patient minded, caring, loving and a positive thinker. I became a caregiver because I love working with people. What most I like about being a caregiver is, showing care, respecting elderly people, accepting the conditions of others. My personal achievement in doing job is how effectively I communicate with my patients.

I was my mothers primary care giver after she retired from teaching school for 45 years . I also worked For Kaiser Permanente in Falls Church Va for 10 years and this makes me very familiar with going to appointments and dealing with medical terminology. Hello my name is Takiyannie but I go by Starr. I am a mother of two teenage children I am a single parent. I was raised by my grandmother who was my mother the only mother I knew so I called her "mommy". When I was in my early teens my mother became real ill, she went from being super independent to dependent something I knew she hated. With this transformation in my mother's life she was diagnosed with COPD Diabetes congested heart failure having to carry around an oxygen tank 24/7 limited to mobility, is was a very heart breaking experience because she was such a loving fun outgoing hard working woman she loved to be out shopping visiting family or working. So to be a witness of this as a child the love my mother showed others even strangers made me appreciate my elders even more on so many different levels that I felt its an honor to be able to give back to them by being a companion or simply taking care of them. I enjoyed ever moment of helping my mother in her time of need down to giving her insulin shots which is really uncomfortable for them to go through twice a day. If you don't have the passion or heart to under the journey of our elders this is not the job for you but I love to give back an being able to be there for them so they know everyone has not given up nor forgotten about them this is why I chose to become a caregiver.

I'm a 20 year old entrepreneur, looking for side work that I enjoy. I've always had a genuine love for the elderly, and they are just so funny! I like to make everything I do fun. I love people! The one thing I appreciate in life is everyone's uniqueness.
