I'm Myriame and I love traveling I am fluent in French and love life. My motto is if your not gonna do it now don't drag it to forever. I love seniors all together I started as a activity coordinator then I knew by me being to close to seniors I have a love for them that I couldn't seem to let go. So I went further into being a caregiver. It's one of the most challenging things I been in but I love it and I love helping others rather it's someone like you an I or someone with dementia.

My main strength is my ability to observe changes in a patient. Whether it it is, a decrease in eating, agitation or illness, it is very likely that I will notice it. I realized when a family member of mine fell ill, my family and I were often unsure of whether or not she was being taken care of well and ,more often than not, she was not. I want to take that burden from other families. I love learning about the people I care for because it makes my job and their day a lot easier when their day is going a little rough. My proudest personal achievement is definitely when I got accepted into one of the toughest summer programs available to college freshman and sophomores at an ivy league university.

I’ve always had this passion for helping people. Upon graduating high school I wanted to study nursing, so I thought becoming a certified nursing assistant is a great way to get in the field of nursing. Forward ten years later, I couldn’t have picked a better field to get into. Becoming a CNA has given me so many opportunities and I’ve meet so many wonderful people along the way. Being able to work with spinal cord, brain injury, Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, and elderly patients has solidified my life’s calling.
