With now 4+ years of experience, I began caring for seniors as a teenager, helping my aunt take care of my great-grandmother who had dementia until her passing in 2022. I PROFESSIONALLY started senior care after graduating high school in 2020. On weekends, I'd assist seniors from church, while weekdays were spent working as a dental assistant during the day and a caregiver with 365 Home Care in the evenings. In 2020, I also enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, dedicating one weekend monthly to military duties. Today, I continue my caregiver role during the week, army career, and complete college work online. I have a deep passion for senior care because it brings me joy! Watching my great-grandmother transition from being independent to someone who could no longer recognize me or care for herself made me want to help others. My work as a traveling dental assistant also exposed me to many nursing homes, where I saw seniors not receiving proper care, further fueling my desire to make a difference! I am competent in bed baths, meal preparations, feeding, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, running errands etc.

I've always wanted to be a caregiver ever since I was little I've was born with the gift to help people and the best part of being a caregiver is knowing your giving love , affection and being there for them and the feeling you feel is amazing my personal achievement is being in this field ..So a little about myself I have a big heart and very compassion about my job and who I work with I'm good at what I do

1. I was first inspired to become a Caregiver when my mom and two older sisters became Certified Nurse Assistants. Since a small child I've always been a compassionate, caring individual. In high school, from the year 2006 until my senior year in 2009, I completed my hours of community service as a CNA trainee over games and extracurricular activities, under the supervision of both my mother and sister, at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation for Atlanta. In 2012, I graduated from New Life Technical Academy in Hapeville, GA and became a Certified Nurse Assistant. I am so proud and thankful that I am living my calling as a compassionate Caregiver. 2. What I like most about being a Caregiver is understanding my patients, their medical conditions and rights, and doing all that I can to help them be as independent as possible if capable. My greatest qualities are promoting happiness, and providing safety and comfort for seniors. When caring for my patients I continuously think about how I would want someone to care for my own parents, so I treat them accordingly. I care for my patients in the same way that I would care for my mom or dad or expect their Caregivers to care for them. 3. My most prized personal achievement was my recent undergraduate studies completion from Georgia State University this past December 2014, in which I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a Concentration in Advanced Rhetoric and Composition. I will be enrolling in grad school soon.

I am very passionate about providing loving care to people. It bring me joy to know that I have made another individual feel safe and happy around me. Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant was an unexpected blessing to me and I have embraced every moment since I started in this field. I have been in the Medical Field for 10 years now from working in Medical Records to the Front Desk, but interacting directly with the patient and being hands on is the best part. I have been caregiving since I was a young girl, since before my grandmother passed away, may god rest her soul. She was the person who made me decide i want to go to nursing school and become a nurse, a lot of the years she kept me going. I have watched people during the pandemic go into nursing homes and family is not even allowed to see them, all the residents had was us, the caregivers.
