I am pursuing a bachelor's in the science of Nursing at Georgia State University and I have taken all of the prerequisite courses associated with that bachelor's degree. This makes me even more sure that I can perform all of the responsibilities needed for this job confidently. I am certain that I have the necessary skills to successfully do this job adeptly and perform above expectations.

Honestly, I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. But I'd love to tell you a story, which really helped me make this decision. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was left alone. Plus, her arthritis was starting to worsen, and she began having more and more trouble preparing her meals, bathing, and getting her groceries. So we found her a caregiver--and she was absolutely amazing! She stayed with my grandma for longer hours than was expected--typically playing some Chopin and Debussy records (her favorite music) while telling stories about growing up in Europe. That was very soothing for my grandma, and that caregiver inspired me to join this field."It takes a cheerful and encouraging attitude to assist individuals who have trouble taking care of themselves and performing everyday activities. It takes thick skin and both mental and physical determination--and you need to be genuinely motivated by a desire to help others to become a successful home health aide. Interview questions for these jobs will ask you how your caregiver skills enable you to stay positive and caring and to fight off exhaustion on all levels (mental, emotional, and physical).

Aloha! It is in my innate nature to be of service and help others. Doing so gives me great pleasure. I have been caregiving since I was a young girl, since before my grandmother passed away, may god rest her soul. She was the person who made me decide i want to go to nursing school and become a nurse, a lot of the years she kept me going. I have watched people during the pandemic go into nursing homes and family is not even allowed to see them, all the residents had was us, the caregivers. I love people. I am honest and trustworthy. My parents raised me with manners and to be respectable in public and privately. As civilized humans we have an obligation to help others and a right to be helped by others. I've spent many years caring for children as a nanny. Firstly, I birthed and raised six children. I married at the early age of 15 years and my husband was 16 years. We were born in Virginia, but spent most of our lives in GA. We were married for 23 years until his death at the age of 39.
