I am a 20 year old Georgia State University student, who is pursing on getting my bachelors degree in nursing. I have a one year old name Rehyanna. I volunteer in 2015 at Masonic Pathway nursing home located in Alma, Michigan. The reason why I choose to be a caregiver because I really enjoyed helping out at Masonic pathways an I would do it again once I got back to Michigan. I have been caregiving since I was a young girl, since before my grandmother passed away, may god rest her soul. She was the person who made me decide i want to go to nursing school and become a nurse, a lot of the years she kept me going. I have watched people during the pandemic go into nursing homes and family is not even allowed to see them, all the residents had was us, the caregivers.
