My name is Ashanti I am currently 20 years old. I have been caring for sick people since I was about 16 years. I have a great grandma thats 83 that I care for almost everyday. Also I have been volunteering at Grady Memorial Hospital on the icu floor for about 5 years. When I was in high school I had a healthcare pathway where we learned everything about CNA work. We were suppose to take the CNA test but due to our school being new they wasn't certified to give the test but I did pass the practice test that they administered. I became a caregiver as a teenager in high school. I would go on Saturdays to help and elderly lady diagnosed with cancer. I assisted her with meals, light housekeeping and ambulation as well as companionship. I took care of an elderly disabled lady for many years in her home until she passed away recently.
