I am a friendly, nurturing, patient, and compassionate person who enjoys helping people. It gives me much pleasure to be of assistance to someone in need. I have worked in a hospital setting as a nurse aide with patients of all ages, but always had a soft spot for the elderly. It saddens me that there are so many cruel people out there who will take advantage, neglect, and abuse their positions and roles as caregivers. If I can make even a small impact or difference in someone's life by brightening their day and treating them with respect and dignity, then I feel my purpose is fulfilled. I have 3+ years clinical experience and excellent bedside manners. CPR trained, and can perform all tasks needed for daily functions such as feeding, bathing, grooming, toileting, medication reminders and assistance, if needed. I am easy going and flexible and capable of adapting to each individuals unique or special needs. I am honest and trustworthy and always willing to go the extra mile.

I would be a good caregiver because I have cared for elderly patients and younger children by providing food, a clean living environment, using all safety precaution standards, and administering medication. The best part about being a caregiver is the feeling of giving and caring for someone other than myself. I enjoying helping others improve their health, even if it is as small as reading a book out loud to stimulate the brain. My compassion for people has pushed me to go to college to be a registered nurse. I am currently in my 3 semester of school and looking forward to gaining some experience in my field of study. My name is Ashanti I am currently 20 years old. I have been caring for sick people since I was about 16 years. I have a great grandma thats 83 that I care for almost everyday. Also I have been volunteering at Grady Memorial Hospital on the icu floor for about 5 years. When I was in high school I had a healthcare pathway where we learned everything about CNA work. We were suppose to take the CNA test but due to our school being new they wasn't certified to give the test but I did pass the practice test that they administered.
