I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others. I also grew up helping my aunt take care of my special needs cousin and the love and care I felt for him made me want to pursue a career that involves me helping others. What I like about being a caregiver is the reward and satisfaction that I get knowing that a resident has gotten the best care. I am proud of going to school for what I love which is nursing and gaining experience and knowledge along the way. I enjoy working with others, I also enjoy a challenge at times. I am very kind and loving and being a new mom I just feel like I have opened up my heart even more. I am attending school for pre-nursing.

I became a caregiver to . I remained a caregiver after seeing the happiness that came from the quality, passionate care that I could provide. My favorite part of being a caregiver is being able to really connect with those that I take care of, regardless of the age, condition, etc. Of my accomplishments, in this career field, I am most proud of my Best Clinician Award that I received while training to become a CNA. This award was given to me by the owner of the school, which is a rare occurrence. Such an award shows my ability to adapt and perform at a very skilled level in many diverse situations. I am a young, fresh CNA with confidence in my training, willing and eager to uphold the standards of a true caregiver.

I am an enthusiastic and easy going college student looking to apply my acquired skills. I have been wanting to join the healthcare industry since I was in elementary school. I feel passionate about taking care of people and providing those individuals with the proper care that they need!

I’ve always had this passion for helping people. Upon graduating high school I wanted to study nursing, so I thought becoming a certified nursing assistant is a great way to get in the field of nursing. Forward ten years later, I couldn’t have picked a better field to get into. Becoming a CNA has given me so many opportunities and I’ve meet so many wonderful people along the way. Being able to work with spinal cord, brain injury, Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, and elderly patients has solidified my life’s calling. Being a CNA is not just a job to me, it’s a passion and I passion I take very seriously.

I became a caregiver about 3 years ago right before I went to college. I chose to do this because I love people and giving care to all types of people and age groups. I am currently in Nursing school to become a registered nurse so I am very knowledgeable regarding medications, disease processes, as well as the appropriate care to give. I value the concept of care and helping all people because you never know if you may need care one day.

I became a care giver recently because I genuinely enjoyed the company of the elderly. I believe a person is born a care giver and I realized that care giving is deffinitely my calling. Hello, I am Justin Patterson. I started in care giving with C.A.R.R. in Olympia back in September of last year. I am an excellent caregiver because in addition to great care I am great at putting smiles on faces and keeping people happy. I enjoy being a caregiver for many reasons but mostly because helping my clients be healthy and happy makes me happy. One achievement I am proud of is I recently convinced my client that keeping their room clean is important and now they clean it without being prompted. A few of the most important traits needed when providing care include: patience, empathy, and compassion for others. These 3 are traits that I express not only in my work as a caregiver, but in my everyday life as well. I have been certified as a caregiver since 2005. I have received training in long term, rehab, acute, and memory care. Caregiving is not only a job for me, but a part of my everyday life. I find it rewarding to listen to those who are often ignored, to provide smiles to those who may be experiencing loneliness or depression, and to give care to those who are not able to care for themselves. I am a friendly, nurturing, patient, and compassionate person who enjoys helping people. It gives me much pleasure to be of assistance to someone in need. I have worked in a hospital setting as a nurse aide with patients of all ages, but always had a soft spot for the elderly. It saddens me that there are so many cruel people out there who will take advantage, neglect, and abuse their positions and roles as caregivers. If I can make even a small impact or difference in someone's life by brightening their day and treating them with respect and dignity, then I feel my purpose is fulfilled. I have 3+ years clinical experience and excellent bedside manners. CPR trained, and can perform all tasks needed for daily functions such as feeding, bathing, grooming, toileting, medication reminders and assistance, if needed. I am easy going and flexible and capable of adapting to each individuals unique or special needs. I am honest and trustworthy and always willing to go the extra mile.

I would be a good caregiver because I have cared for elderly patients and younger children by providing food, a clean living environment, using all safety precaution standards, and administering medication. The best part about being a caregiver is the feeling of giving and caring for someone other than myself. I enjoying helping others improve their health, even if it is as small as reading a book out loud to stimulate the brain. My compassion for people has pushed me to go to college to be a registered nurse. I am currently in my 3 semester of school and looking forward to gaining some experience in my field of study. Hello I'm Shyanne, I want to start off by saying I adore the elderly the knowledge they have and instill in me is unforgettable. I enjoy the conversation with helping others. I've been in home care for about 6 years now and I've recently decided to return to school and complete my masters in human services. My favorite part is the joy in my patients face when they see me. The excitement knowing that I'm there to help them that's a thrill for me it let's me know that I am doing my job correctly.
