I started off as a medical assistant working for a gastroenterologist with geriatrics and from then on I pursued caregiving and home health. I've been in this field for a little over 8 years . I've worked in a group home with mentally disabled adults as well as a facility for Alzheimer and Dementia geriatrics. I've worked live in, hospice, and daily. Just the thought of being there building a relationship with someone and helping them or even just being a friend to make their day go by better makes me feel better..

Ever since I was a child I've wanted to be a nurse. I haven't achieved that goal yet but I became the next best thing which is a medical assistant/caregiver. I love helping people and making sure that they have everything they need to function daily. I've worked in the home health field since 2007.

To be honest I didn't start of as a caregiver. I worked as a DCS \"Direct Care Staff\" for children and adults with severe mental and physical disabilities for over 10 year's. And I really enjoyed my job especially working with the kid's. They were very loving and strong willed and with that you can't help to become close to them. Which bring me to how I became a caregiver! One of my client's lived with his grandmother and her health started to decline but she was determined to still provide care for her grandson but she also in search for care for herself. She loved the care that I provided for her grandson so I was hired by her to care for her also. Being a caregiver has taught me so much more about myself, thing's that goes unnoticed to some people. Like patience, compassion, empathy just to say a few that I can say about myself. Being a caregiver is not just sitting there babysitting but being there for who ever needs that extra push, or encouragement, or just someone there to listen. All of my client's have expressed to me many time's how thankful they are for me and that's when I truly know that this meant for me.

i am a full time hard worker and mother to 2 children. i live in san francisco, and is currently working per diem, i also go to school monday through friday. i am studying to get my pharmacy technician license. i have absolutely loved working with patients in all different types of settings. it has truely helped me to grow and really love what i do.

Hello my names Briana, and Iam a Medical Assistant. I graduated High School in 2007 as Valedictorian, and in May 2011 graduated from Everest College. I chose the Medical Field because I love helping people who are not in the greatest position to help themselves, and was taught by both of my parents that its always great to be a Blessing to others.
