I am 18 years old and currently attending college. I have been passionate about caring for disabled individuals since I met a disabled boy in my high school and quickly befriended him. I worked in the Special Education classroom in my high school for 4 years plus summers. I am studying to become a special education teacher, specifically in a deaf school. I know American Sign Language and have worked with deaf clients. Though I am young, I have worked with a wide variety of ages, abilities, personalities, and needs. I am patient, perseverant, and observant. I hope to hear back from you soon.

I'm a great caregiver because I have a passion for care. I've been on both sides of the spectrum as a care provider as well as the family member of ones who've needed care. I understand the needs of the people I care for on a personal and professional level. I became interested most when I started to care for my mother. It had always been one of my interests, but at this point I decided it was for me. I enjoy knowing that the care I provide is top quality and makes people happy. The smiles on the families faces and the many thanks given are just the icing on the cake. Care is more than rewarding by thanks and smiles. It's an internal reward knowing that I could help. I'm proud to be able to give great care and service to all my clients. I have my CNA 1 and 2 certifications and have several years experience in caregiving and hospice care. I have always been someone who had a heart for others. As a young man that resignated through acts of service, helping others in my neighborhood, through my church, and random people I met along the way. God instilled a gift of caring for my fellow man and he has always placed my in roles where I can use this gift. It wasn't until I was in my 20s where I realized this gift would be well received in the world of medicine and later nursing. I originally thought a career in EMS was where I belonged but it limited my upward mobility and after going through an EMT Basic class I soon realized their were other options available to me. I moved into the hospital environment through a cardiac telemetry position and began learning about inpatient medicine and the many roles nurses play. During my time there I went through a CNA 1 & 2 class and began to realize that nursing was where I would fit in the world of medicine. However, It was my grandmother who cemented the notion in my mind that I would make an amazing nurse. During her last days I was able to spend some time with her; making her conferrable, meeting her needs, caring for her became second nature and I realized in those last moments with her that nursing was where I belong. As you can see I have come full circle in way; starting with the idea that EMS is where I want to be and ending up with a passion for nursing but at an EMS pace in the Emergency Room. I feel at home when I'm working with patients, I look foreword to every shift, and the challenges it provides; because in these challenges I reaffirm my calling to the nursing profession.

I'm very humanistic I love being around people I love seeing people happy it makes me feel better about myself I'm able to listen to naturally understand what people are going through and one of my happeiest achievements must be doing this job that I care so deeply for for the past four years and I plan on continuing to do so for many more

I grew up around health care providers so I was always exposed to it which is why I have an interest in taking care of people. I am currently a full time college students in Portland. I enjoy doing home care because everyday I learn something new and it helps me to grow as a person while also helping others and learning from the experiences they provide me. I am naturally a caring giving person and being exposed to home/health care for so long that taking care of people and helping other is a way of life and has helped in choosing a carer path.

I tend to be a kind, friendly and patient person. I spent the past eight years with my beloved friend and companion during her journey with Alzheimer's. Learning to take care of her was a very challenging but rewarding experience. I am proud that I was able to bring joy and comfort to her in her final years, in the home she loved.

I like how I'm able to give personalized care. I worked in an osteopathic hospital for a few years in the radiology dept. when I was fresh out of high school. It changed my perspective since it opened my eyes to how the little things make a difference. I have had three nurses in my family including my twin sister.

I'm currently employed with Communinty Serviecs Inc. I work with pepole with developmental disabilities by providing for individualized support services, community based services and lifestyle opportunities. I have over six years as a care provider. I previously worked for Visting Angels a senior care provider. Giving me experience with senior care and developmental disabilities.
