I was a private caregiver to my grandparents before they went into assisted living. Recently I was caregiving for a woman in her late 80s. I did housework, meal prep, help with bathing, watering plants, and companionship. She had limited mobility in which she could use her walker to get to her bathroom and at night she would use the bedside commode with help.

I'm a patient and compassionate caregiver who enjoys making a positive difference in people's lives. I was drawn to caregiving because I love helping others feel comfortable and supported. I take pride in being reliable and kind, and I'm proud of helping clients regain confidence and independence.

I'm currently employed with Communinty Serviecs Inc. I work with pepole with developmental disabilities by providing for individualized support services, community based services and lifestyle opportunities. I have over six years as a care provider. I previously worked for Visting Angels a senior care provider. Giving me experience with senior care and developmental disabilities.

I have always had an outstanding drive to help others. I started doing care giving as an "in" for the healthcare field and to be able to love my job. My first care giving experience was In-Home care. It brought a whole new light to my eyes. You never really realize how many people are struggling on a daily basis and who want to enjoy their life but, may be hindered by disabilities from accomplishing their personal goals and dreams. I love my field of work because i get to go home everyday feeling accomplished knowing i helped someone achieve something they may or may not have been able to do easily on their own. I love people and puzzles, both are perfect for assisting others. Sometimes you have to find a solution to the situation and thinking outside the box is my specialty. A personal achievement i'm proud of is having training and certifications that furthered my knowledge in the healthcare field. Certifications: -Basic CPR/First Aide -BLS Healthcare Provider CPR/AED/First Aid Come January,2018 I start my next program for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. I plan to work my way up the latter and eventually find my "niche" in the healthcare and medical field.

I'm a 27 year old caregiver. I started in this field when I turned 18 years old. I chose this field because I grew up with my mom working in a foster home and seeing how much she enjoyed what she did made me want to go into the same field. Since being a caregiver what I love the most and take pride in is being able to put a smile on someone's face. Being that consistent reliability in their lives especially for the ones who don't have anyone to really rely on. The most rewarding part is knowing at the end of the day that I have made a difference in someone's life and it's what keeps me going. Yes of course there are stressful times but reminding myself why I do what I do keeps me going.

I am passionate about providing care to vulnerable populations, specifically children and the elderly. I have a soft spot for working with those who need support and care. I love being a friend to those I assist, and it always warms my heart to receive the love and gratitude from those I help.

I come from a family of nurses an in home care workers. So when I was old enought to go on the job with my mother an grandmother i t was there I got my experience about this line of work. Hello Viewer! A little about me: I am a real down to earth type of person who loves the outdoors and enjoys being around animals! I got introduced to caregiving when I was 18 years old and I did not think it was my calling but it turned out to be the best thing that has happened to me and I take it very seriously. I have been humbled in this walk and have seem people thrive and have seen people say their last goodbyes. It is hard to call a stranger to help out with your loved one and i am truly sensitive to that. I'm a goofball, I like to make my residents laugh with silly dance moves or make up random songs for them. I'm very patient and I'm good at de-escalating tense or aggressive situations. I'm also very caring and patient and don't mind taking my time to get to the bottom of what's bothering someone.
