Personal trait that make me a great care provider is. My youngest brother needs 24hr care I grow up learning how to care for him and to also be patient. As an adult I found joy and love in caring for all who can not do for themselves. knowing that Im honest and compassionate your family can be at ease with me as a caregiver to your love one.

ENFP if that means anything to you! I'm an outgoing, energetic, compassionate PNW local who genuinely enjoys working to help individuals and families. My initial pull to caregiving was because of the schedule flexibility- being a single mother means I need to ensure that his needs are being met. It wasn't hard to fall in love with a job where the main goal is helping others lead a more fulfilling life, while providing relief and time for self care for families. I have studied physiology, neurology and brain functions fairly extensively- I don't have a degree but I have the knowledge and use that to help provide the best care possible. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to raise my son and watch him flourish into an understanding and empathetic young human.

I have been in senior care for about 15years. I have taken care of loved ones, neighbor's and other clients in the Vancouver and washougal community. I have CPR and first aid training, dementia training, experience with transfers and using a hoyer lift. As a mom, previous preschool teacher and caregiver to my in-laws and parents, I have developed a lot of empathy and skills for taking care of others. I enjoy working hard, being dependable and giving the best care possible to those I help. The importance of this type of work is often overlooked, but for me personally, it's really rewarding because if you do it well, you are really making a difference in people's lives. As far as caring for seniors, I have gained a lot of experience in the past 10 years (especially when caring for my father in law). He lived with us for nearly 3 years and needed complete care. I was his primary caregiver. That entailed assisting him with mobility by using gait belts, walkers and wheelchairs, managing his diabetes and caring for him through dialysis treatments.

I feel that I am a great caregiver because of the feeling I get when I leave out everyday. Knowing that I gave my best in every situation . I don't think care giving is your every day job, it's combining families for one cause,, the resident. I have been in the healthcare field over 20 years which consisted of in home car, care facilitates, mental healthcare facilitates as well as acute care.

I have 3 months of experience working at a care home with 60+ residents, before that I use to take care of my grandpa(he had MS). I also have 2 years of experience as a housekeeper at a resort. I want to make the lives of these elders better and easier.

First and foremost I'd say I'm very empathetic. I grew up as the only girl in the household so I naturally fell into the role of caring, loving and providing support. Hello! My name is Chanceline but you can call me Chancy. I like helping people and I've always had a giving personality. I have a caregiver experience of more than 5 years. When I was young I helped my parents to take care of my grandfather when he got older and couldn't remember or do much. I helped him with meal preparation, meds remind, cleaning and so more. I spent more time with him since his wife was already passed away. We played games while telling stories. We smiled. It was very soothing. That inspired me to become a caregiver when I got older. I love seeing a smile face on our elders and I would like to give them that. Patience, compassion, positive attitude, good communication, trustworthiness, and empathy helped when I was taking care of grandpa and also when I took care of my clients when I was working as a caregiver.
