While I was speaking to my career navigator at school, she insisted that I take a CNA course to get some experience working in the medical field so that's what I did. I wasn't too excited in the beginning but after a few hours of walking along side the CNA I was placed with, I just fell in love with helping the residents. I understand that they can no longer help themselves and I do not want them to get frustrated because of it. I believe it is my job to help them with getting their daily routines done. I have such a great passion to help and keep my clients entertained. I am a great listener and I love to do activities with my clients as long as they wish to do so. I am willing to help with any needs they have without any complaints.

I'm a retired UT employee and would like to provide my services in taking care of someone in need. I have taken care of my sister who had cancer and my parents (96 & 98) and loved the experience of being with them in their time of need. It was very fulfilling and gave me peace of mind knowing I could be there for them.

I am a natural care taker who is using this personality strength to build my career. I am a therapist by profession and have chosen to join CareLinx to assist in my mothers care, and maybe pick up a few extra hours whenever possible.

As a kid, I always wanted to be like my granny. She was a LVN, at a nursing home and I use to volunteer with her as a child. I also grew up helping my grandparents and great grand-mother with their daily activities. That's what attracted me to becoming a caregiver.

I enjoy hearing people's story. Offering friendly and professional companionship. I am very easy going and I thrive, knowing that your needs are met. I'm a hard working, showing high levels of responsibility. Currently in college as well, studying architecture and interior design!

I have been assisting and providing companionship to seniors since i was 6 years old. When i was just a boy,I would enjoy visiting with my next door neighbors, an elderly husband and wife couple almost everyday. They were my friends as I had very few friends my own age. I visited with them , and I helped them with their daily chores and in return the wife would have cookies or cake baked for me to eat as my pay, it was the best . My love for the elderly continued as I grew up and moved away. I love being of service to people in need of my help, I feel Blessed when God allows me the opportunity to help others who need my assistance whether they happen to be elderly or disabled. I also worked other jobs including: Food Service, Delivery driver, cashier, and although I do love every job that I have worked in the past, I found that assisting the elderly and disabled is much more rewarding to me. When I graduated from high school, My first job was when I worked at the Austin State School, (where i was employed for 14 years and I have now made a career out of caring for others I now have over 30 years of experience working in the Caregiver, Direct Care, and Personal Assistant Care field, and I can say that I have worked in most of the State programs, from direct care of MHMR residents in an institutional setting to Personal Care Attendant Services with Physically and Mentally Challenged individuals living in their own homes, to managing MHMR Group homes, to caring for senior who choose to live in their own homes and seek assistance with their daily care needs. I am a Healthy, active male in very good shape , and love to work with people... I Have Absolutely NO Criminal History what so ever....
