Hello my name is Rae, I've worked in the caregiving industry as a Personal Care Attendant/Home Care Attendant for over 10 years. I feel it's my calling to give back what was given to me -care & companionship. I'm originally from Austin, Texas and very familiar with the Central, North, and Northeast Austin area. I'm an English speaker, and It would be a pleasure to work with and spend time with a female client that match my qualifications and skills.

I have 3 children, so I am very patient. I believe we all deserve that much. I've always been an empathetic person, and can relate to most people. I grew up with my grandparents who needed a little extra care and I was always their "little helper." I enjoy helping others and making a difference for them. Even the small things matter. Sometimes more than anything else. I am proud that I have always been able to comfort in times of need

I am a compassionate, creative, outgoing and loving person. I am looking to be a caregiver because I find that work to be meaningful and not "just a job" and something I am passionate about. I would enjoy being with someone in their final stage in life and giving them the best care I can but most importantly companionship. A personal achievement I am proud of is graduating college next summer !

I began caregiving when I saw the struggle my father had with taking care of my stepmother in her last few months. She had dementia and was not able to take care of herself. My father was overwhelmed, scared, and didn't know how to get help. I stepped in and found that I was pretty good at it. When my father became unable to care for himself alone I started part time helping out with his needs. I became his full time caregiver for the last few years of his life and so glad I did. After his passing I was a live in caregiver for a couple for about a year. One passed and the other needed to be placed in a nursing home. This is when I begain working for Amada. I have moved to Colorado for a cooler climate, and I love it here.

I am in nursing school because I want to help people. I enjoy being around people and think that I would be a good caregiver because I am easygoing and am told that I am quick to learn. I also have experience with kids and people with special needs. I would like to gain more experience around elderly people, as I believe they have a lot to teach me, regardless of their abilities. It makes me sad that we live in such a culture that idolizes youth. I hope to enjoy humorous moments, time outside, and possibly even games of Scrabble.

Business ethics I was doing Uber and Lyft beside my regular job, and I have been able to identified when someone need assistance, such as help to get in or out of car. During my driving I meet someone that I pick up from a hospital that i had to get out of my car to push his wheelchair. In less than 2 min, he told me how much help he needed to move around. I knowledge his frustration that he wasn't able to find help to assist him. When I dropped him off, I had to push him to his apartment, and as soon he opened the door, it was obvious his conversation. As Uber and Lyft drivers, we shouldn't exchange information, however, I compromise to ask one of my friends if he can help out. Since my friend wasn't able to help, the same day late at night, I asked him what kind of help he need most, and he told me desperate; all my close is duty, I can't reach into the washer, my caregiver got sick and hasn't return since two weeks. I said, ok. I can help to do that, so right the next day, Sunday morning I was there at 8am. This is a long story that I should write a book about it, but as this one, I had other stories that my instinct as human been comes out without looking for rewards. Therefore I'm broke because money is the last thing I think about it when someone needs my help. Pretty much that is my personal achievement, help others without waiting nothing on return. However, if I don't drive because I spent time helping others, then how i will survive myself, and take care of my family too.

I became a caregiver because I truly enjoy being around the elderly and gaining wisdom from them as well. I take joy in letting the elders or disabled that I take care of know, that regardless of circumstances, they still have more of life to live like anybody else. One of my best caregiving moments was with my second client I've ever tended to. I used to do her makeup, comb her hair, watch tv, laugh, listen to music, dance with her and etc. She was an elderly lady that was bound to a wheel chair because of back and leg issues but because I brought so much life back into her, she was always excited to see me when it was my turn to tend to her. She loved me so much, she used to talk about me to her family and eventually introduced me to them. When I relocated because of school, she was hurt, she said that I was the best caregiver she has ever had. She was so touched by our time we had together and the joy I brought to her that she told me that she was wiling to clean out one of her rooms she used as storage so that I could stay there with her, still be able to go to school (just online), and continue to be her caregiver, I was so touched. This is what I'd love to do for your loved one ! Make them feel as both family and a friend while still doing my duties and keeping professional as a caregiver ! (Sorry for the run on sentences).

I'm a stay at home dad for the most part and started assisting Great uncle when he got older and have made it a point to be more active in his life.

I've been married for 14 years and have two children. I currently care for a senior citizen part time. I also run a company with my husband that allows me to work from home. I have a genuine desire to help others and really enjoy caring for others. I enjoy cooking and cleaning. I enjoy volunteering at nursing homes and found a calling to help the elderly community. Being a mother and being able to stay home and raise my kids is what I' am most proud of. I enjoyed catering to my children while helping them learn and be good kids with good manners.

I love taking care of people. I started back at the beginning of the HIV/Aids epidemic taking care of friends and their families. I have always been a caregiver. first for plants, then people. My main expertise is with Alzheimer's, ALS, MS, and other terminal and long-term care diseases. My focus is on comfort and management. Not cure. I have a wide range of skills from 30 years of in home and facility care for both men and women. My personal philosophy is that we are all given the greatest of care when we are born. We care nurtured and protected as infants. I believe we should receive this same care at our end of life stages. Give the same compassion and care. Over time this has become my method of care for all my patients and their families. It doesn't matter who you are or what your condition maybe. We all deserve the right to a gentle and peaceful end. This is why i have centered my focus on Hospice and Palliative care.
